Your icon was already a tile

The Kaki icon has an ivory face, a gold edge along the bottom, a green k and a red square dot. That’s a mahjong tile. So the redesign keeps the icon exactly as it is and builds everything else from it: every tile in the app has the same ivory face and gold edge, green means “do this”, and the red square becomes the full stop on each screen title. The rest sits on iOS’s own surfaces. Tap the buttons: they press like tiles.

Apple’s surfaces, not a themeSystem grey and true black backgrounds, the system font, large titles, grouped lists, a floating glass tab bar. It should feel like it came with the phone.
One object with personalityIvory face, gold edge, just like the icon. Seats, badges and venue logos are all tiles. Buttons sink 3px when pressed, like a real tile hitting felt.
The icon’s three colours, each with one jobGreen (the k) means “do this”. Red (the dot) means “live / needs you now”. Gold (the edge) is only ever the tile’s edge, never a label. Blue and violet are retired.
Show the table, not a listAny time a game appears, draw the four seats around a square. “Need 1 more” is something you can see before you read it.

Redesign colours: iOS grey or black background, with only the icon’s green, red and gold.

Ways to show an open table

The square-table drawing is gone. Each option shows the same four open games tonight, in a different way. They all work: tap an empty seat or Duduk to sit down. C2 is C made shorter so more tables fit on the screen, and D is C2 without the tiles. Pick one, or mix parts of two.
